The Train & Earn Culinary Program prepares students for various entry-level positions in the food service industry. This program focuses on food preparation, production skills, nutrition, and food safety.

Who we are:
Are you looking to enhance or develop working skills and don’t know where to look? Let MMCC’s Train & Earn program help you discover your strengths and begin working toward career success. Train & Earn at MMCC is a free program that pays you to start your career.`
We offer Paid Internship/Work Experience if eligible. Gain valuable skills at $18/hour to build work history and build work skills. Equip yourself with the skills not only to find employment, but to stay employed and build a career. In order to qualify you must be 16-24 years old, not attending school and live within the 5 Boroughs of New York City.
Get your Food Handler’s certification and/or Customer Service certification. HSE, formerly known as GED classes, are also available.
We also offer Medical Administrative Assistant training. Learn to perform the administrative functions of an entry-level medical assistant. MAA students learn basic medical terminology, patient scheduling, patient records maintenance, billing and coding, and compliance with HIPPA and OSHA guidelines. MAA students are also trained to assist with examinations and prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures. In addition, we also offer Certified Hemodialysis Technician training.

To qualify, you must be:
- 16-24 years old
- a resident of any of the five boroughs of New York City
- out of school and have no post-secondary degree
- unemployed, or working less than 25 hours per week
- legally authorized to work in the United States
- looking to get a long-term job or earn your High School Equivalency diploma

Customer Service Certification Training
Youth ages 18–24 can take a FREE course in Customer Service & Sales Fundamentals led by an experienced and certified Instructor.
Upon completing this course, you will take the online certification exam. Once you pass, you will receive a nationally recognized certificate in Customer Service. This is a great opportunity to build your resume and increase your skills to get a job in just 4 sessions!
Once you complete the course and obtain your certificate, you will be eligible for a free session with our Job Developers for job placement assistance as well as referrals to our other job readiness and training programs.
