SAT Prep Classes
MMCC College bound provides SAT preparation courses to aid students in their study for this cumulative exam that covers a wide range of topics. The SAT is comprised of an evidence based essay, 45 multiple choice mathematics questions, 52 multiple choice questions in reading and 44 multiple choice questions in writing.
The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is a highly reviewed component upon acceptance to any colleges and universities, alongside the students latest transcript.
It measures a student’s knowledge based off of the past four years in their high school. Our instructors have over three years’ experience teaching SAT Prep, tutoring in related subjects, teaching teens, and have at least a Master’s degree in a related field. Upon entering the program participants are tested to see their current competency levels for the instructors to better assist them in areas of need. Participants are also tested at the end of each SAT session to measure how much improvement has been made. Each course caps at 25 students to allow the instructor to aid students’ needs and concerns individually.
College Bound offers two to four SAT Prep classes in the spring and fall terms for high school students and out-of-school youth looking to increase their knowledge and prepare themselves for the SAT Exam. Classes are offered weekday evenings, from Tuesday through Thursday, and on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It is advised to register for class’ one month prior to the deadline to avoid cancellation of the class.
The course is at an affordable cost which includes the SAT test prep book. Our students’ grades increase about 90% in all three sections by the time they are done with the course.
