Camp Sunshine and Sunshine Teens are for children with special needs currently for ages 5 – 16 who are developmentally disabled.

Camp Sunshine

This camp is for children with special needs currently in Kindergarten to 6th grade ages 5 – 12 who are developmentally disabled. Our fully mainstreamed program serves youngsters who demonstrate developmental disabilities and/or are limited with their social emotional growth.

We provide services to children with classifications of Learning Disability, Speech and Language Disability, Asperger Syndrome, Pervasive Development Disorder (PDD-NOS), Autism (mild to moderate), Attention Deficit Disorder(ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Downs Syndrome, Intellectual Disability (mild to moderate).

This inclusion program is designed to address the needs of the camper by providing close counselor to camper supervision. The children are integrated into the appropriate group setting and have the opportunity to participate in all camp activities.

We will work with parents and campers to address and encourage social emotional goals.

Camp Sunshine Teens

This camp is for children with special needs currently in grades 7th – 10th, ages 13 – 16, who are developmentally disabled. Our fully mainstreamed program serves teens who demonstrate developmental disabilities and/or are limited with their social emotional growth.

We provide services to children with classifications of Learning Disability, Speech and Language Disability, Asperger Syndrome, Pervasive Development Disorder (PDD-NOS), Autism (mild to moderate), Attention Deficit Disorder(ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Downs Syndrome, Intellectual Disability (mild to moderate).

The teens are integrated to the appropriate group setting in Teen Adventures and have the opportunity to participate in all camp trips and activities with supports.

An interview must be conducted prior to your child’s enrollment. Please bring the child’s current IEP, child and parents to the interview.
