Camp Employment & Application

The following application for employment can be used for summer positions at Mosholu Day Camp & Explorer Day Camp (all located in Harriman State Park) or for the Mosholu School Based City-Summer Camps in the Bronx. Please be prepared to supply references including names, addresses and phone numbers. All applications will be considered and a member of our staff will contact you only if we feel your qualifications meet our needs.

Each counselor is personally interviewed by our Unit Supervisors. They are put through extensive background checks and trainings during the off season and are the ideal role models for your children.

The majority of our general counselor staff members are 19 years old and in college. The rest of the staff is made up of specialists and activity leaders whom are college graduates with degrees in areas of childcare, social work or other related fields.

The Supervisory staff are experienced educators and child care workers who take on leadership roles throughout camp. These individuals work with the children on a day-to-day basis and are the people who will be available to work with parents on the campers individual summer of safety and fun.
